The name of Gucci has always been associated with high fashion, fine leather goods and wealth. The first Gucci store in the U.S. was opened in 1953 at 7 East 58th Street, NYC. 

 

Specialty: quality leather and exotic skin handbags that targets the relaxed, casual American market.

 

In the late 1990s, Tom Ford introduced some changes to their classic designs by incorporating modern features and elements, which helped to elevate the position of the brand to the status of a modern icon.
