In 1961, the National Authority for the Ladie's Handbag Industry (NALHI) announced the merger of Lesco, Ltd. with Lona company. The new firm, Lesco Lona, Inc. (136 Madison Ave, NYC) sold their casual bags at Altman & Co., Gimbels, Franklin Simon, Bloomingdales, and Saks Fifth Avenue.
